Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026 — applies from Beebo 1.7.6, which added the Meta ad-measurement SDK described below.

The short version: Beebo is local-first. The people you add, your notes, interactions and reminders live on your iPhone, and in your own private iCloud if you turn sync on. There is no account to create and no server of ours holding your people. Besides anonymous usage counts and crash reports, Beebo sends Meta (Facebook) and Google standard install, launch and purchase events so we can measure which ads bring people to the app — see the two "Advertising measurement" sections below. Beebo shows no ads of its own and does not sell anything about you.

This policy explains what Beebo ("the app", "we") does with your information. It reflects what the app actually does today. If that changes, this page and the in-app policy are updated together.

What we store, and where

Everything you create in Beebo lives on your device:

What leaves your device

None of this identifies you, and all of it travels over encrypted HTTPS.

What we do not collect

Advertising measurement (Meta)

Beebo uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK for one purpose: measuring which Meta ads bring people to install the app. On every launch it automatically sends Meta standard events — app install/first open, app launch, and App Store purchase or subscription events — along with device and app information (device model, OS version, app version, SDK data). Beebo never sends Meta a custom event, and never sends your contacts, notes or anything else you add to the app.

After you finish onboarding, Beebo shows a short explanation screen once, and then iOS asks whether Beebo can track you (the App Tracking Transparency prompt). If you tap "Allow", your advertising identifier (IDFA) is included with the events above. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", no IDFA is sent and Meta only receives aggregated, privacy-preserving measurement (Aggregated Event Measurement / SKAdNetwork). Beebo works identically either way — your choice never unlocks or hides any feature, and you can change it anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See Meta's data policy.

Advertising measurement (Google Analytics for Firebase)

Beebo also uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure which Google ads bring people to install the app. It automatically collects Firebase's standard events — app install/first open, app sessions, app updates, and App Store purchase or subscription events — plus device and app information. Beebo does not report screen names to Google, and never sends your contacts, notes or anything else you add to the app.

The same App Tracking Transparency choice above controls Google's ad-related signals: if you tap "Allow", ad-related consent (ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization) is granted; if you choose "Ask App Not to Track", those signals stay off and only basic analytics consent is granted. See Google's data policy.

Notifications

Reminders are delivered as local notifications, scheduled and shown on your device. They are not routed through any server.

Your control over your data

Children

Beebo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. The app asks for no personal details and keeps your people on your own device and iCloud, so there is nothing about a child for us to gather.

Changes to this policy

If Beebo adds features that change how data is handled, this policy is updated before that feature ships, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
